In the afternoon of October 23rd, 2024, at PVC-MS Port Yard in Vung Tau City, Petroleum Equipment Assemble & Metal Structure J.S.C solemnly held the First Cut Ceremony of fabricating Lac Da Vang Jacket – A (LDV-A) - Lot 15-1/05 under Lac Da Vang Field Development Project.
Attending the ceremony, there were representatives of the Client of Murphy Cuu Long Bac Oil Co. Ltd. (MCB) – a subsidiary of Murphy Oil Corporation (Murphy), representatives of the general contractor PTSC Mechanical & Construction (PTSC M&C), PVC-MS Executive Board and all staff of the Project Management Board and partners and construction teams.
First Cut Ceremony for fabricating Lac Da Vang Jacket – A project
The First Cut ceremony is an important milestone, marking the beginning of fabricating Lac Da Vang Jacket – A of PVC-MS. In the Contract, the PVC-MS scope of work included: shop-drawing design, cutting, welding diagrams, lifting... and providing human resources, equipment, main materials for execution plan , providing auxiliary materials for fabrication, installation, and load-out01 jacket with weight up to 2.372 tons, with a total value of the contract before tax is more than 143 billion VND. This contract package is expected to be completed and handed over to the Client /General Contractor for offshore installation in Quarter 4/2025.
During the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of PVC-MS and the Director of the Lac Da Vang Jacket Project, stated that PVC-MS and PTSC M&C have successfully cooperated on numerous past projects. He emphasized that PVC-MS has earned high appreciation and trust from the Client MCB and General Contractor PTSC M&C for this package, which led to the awarding of the contract. With massive experience, PVC-MS is committed to completing the project on time and highest requirements.

In the event, Mr. Nguyen Duy Minh, Deputy Director of Lac Da Vang Project of PTSC M&C General Contractor congratulated the PVC-MS Contractor.
