Over 200 booths in the exhibition, aiming to boost the development and scientific-technological applications in construction, introduce the outstanding technological products of nearly 100 local and international businesses, making it a noticeable event of the construction sector in 2014.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh valued the participation of local and international businesses, including Shimizu Corporation, Lotte Engineering & Construction, JFE Steel, Turner, PetroVietnam, and Viglacera, LILAMA, Song Da and TEDI corporations.
The four-day exhibition creates an opportunity for organisations and businesses to introduce to investors, customers and the public to their capabilities, technologies, equipment and products. Visitors can receive updates on the latest construction technologies in Vietnam and meet with professional contractors and experienced consultants in construction, Deputy PM Ninh said.
Vietconstech 2014 is jointly organised by the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in order to support businesses in promoting their new technologies and equipment, seeking partners, and boosting investment and technology transfers.
The exhibition showcases the potential and strengths of local and international businesses in developing science, technology, equipment and machines in construction and construction material production. This year’s event has been expanded to mining to highlight the sector’s important role in national economic development.
In the exhibition’s framework, two international workshops on construction technologies and examination, evaluation and monitoring construction works will also be organised.
Launched in 2012, the exhibition has contributed to improving businesses’ capacity to respond to local construction demands and international competitiveness.
