The ceremony was honored to welcome representatives of Petro Vietnam (PVN), Mr. Le Hoa Thang, Deputy Head of Electrical Department and representatives of departments; The Project Management Board, Head Nguyen Thanh Huong, and representatives of relevant departments; PetroVietnam Construction Joint Stock Corporation (PVC), Mr. Bui Ngoc Thang, Chairman and Mr. Luong Van Hoa, Chief of Project Executive Board.
From PVC-MS - the EPC contractor, Deputy Director Nguyen Minh Chau, Deputy Director Nguyen Tri Hoa, and more than 100 employees who are working on the site of Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant Project, attended the ceremony.

Mr. Nguyen Tri Hoa, Deputy Manager PVC-MS
Giving his speech at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tri Hoa emphasized that: PVC-MS is selected as EPC contractor by the trust of the General Contractor. PVC-MS carries out procurement, fabrication and installation of the structure, with total weight of 9.200 tons and installation Turbine Unit No.2. This project has a large workload and requires advanced technology but with over 31 years of fabrication experiences, PVC-MS is confident to complete the project in the best way. On behalf of the company, Nguyen Tri Hoa committed to complete the Project with the highest standards of safety, quality and on schedule.

Speaking at the ceremony, representatives of EPC contractor, Mr. Bui Ngoc Thang, Chairman PVC stressed that “PVC-MS is a major unit of the PVC. We hope that through implementing this package, PVC – MS will have more experiences, and maturity to side with PVC and carry out other projects such as Quang Trach Thermal Power Plant and Song Hau Thermal Power Plant project”.

Expressing his delight when seeing the wild area gradually being developed, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Huong, the Head of Project Management Board highly praised the role of PVC-MS, Project Executive Board and all employees. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Huong also stressed that although the project is still at the beginning, there has been a lot of hard work. He suggested that PVC-MS and related units must continue efforts to install steel structural turbine, main control building, equipments and turbine unit No.2 ... on schedule, with high quality and safety.
At the ceremony, the involved units have signed an agreement to implement the project with high quality, safety and on schedule.
Thai Binh Thermal Power Plant 2, in My Loc commune, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province has a capacity of 1,200 MW with 2 units, providing about 6.7 billion KWH of electricity each year. General EPC contractor PVC has officially started construction of the project, with a total investment of nearly USD 1.7 billion in April 2011.
