The project was officially started construction in November 2010 with total investment of the first phase is 695 billion, including such items as: Handling the ground, internal roads, workshop, wharves and other enclose items.
Port’s foundation is treated with soil cement piles, a technology from Japan, with payload of 35 ton/m2, 8 times bigger than normal method. The application of advanced technology for treating the ground will help the port has high load bearing capacity, lifting equipments can operate stably and safe.
Also, the ground will be less damaged, so it reduces maintenance costs. Workshop area of fabrication and corrosion protection covers nearly 4,500 m2 is now completed in part of fixing piles, spilling concrete foundation and erecting of steel buildings. The equipment was purchased to be ready to service production after workshop put into use.
The wharf is 246m length. It is modern designed to allow loading out super weigh works, which have tonnage of 50 tons/m2, jackets and super long - super weight structures, with a weight of more than 10,000 tons.
Currently, the foundation has been construction 50% workload. Auxiliary items have basically completed, workshops will be promptly put into operation in late June 2011.

In April 2011, PVC-MS has joined the bidding project topside fabrication of white rhinos H4 mine Hoang Long JOC. Project bidding document is detailed and scientifically science designed, with sufficient legal basis and clearly, so it has convinced Hoang Long JOC. Currently, Hoang Long JOC is submitting to the shareholders to approval PVC-MS to be the contractor of H4 topside.
If this can become reality, H4 topside will be the first work of PVC-MS port. This event will mark PVC-MS become a contractor EPC.
This event also shows the tremendous growth of the PVC-MS and confirms the new position of PVC-MS in petroleum construction market.
