On 12th April, PVC-MS successfully erected generator enclosure of plant unit 2 - Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant.
Generator skid of plant unit no.2 has a total weight of 340 tons. This is the heaviest and the most importantdevice of the plant. PVC-MS was co-ordinating well with the General Contractor in all aspects of preparation and installation at a height of 18m.
After a day of erection, generator skid of plant unit no.2 was put into a safe position. PVC-MS will continue to perform the next tasksfor installing the rotor of thegenerator.
Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant Project is invested by PetroVietnam (PVN), PetroVietnam Construction JSC(PVC) is the general contractor. PVC-MS executes 2 bidding packages: procurement, fabrication and erection of the steel structure and the control room; installation of electromechanical equipmentsof plant unitno. 2.
Procurement, fabrication and erection of the steel structure and the control room package was commencedon May 9, 2014, up to now the company has completed 90% of workload.
As for installation of electromechanical equipments of plant unit no. 2 package, PVC-MS started this package from December, 2015. The companyhas been conducting these main items: turbine, generator, condenser system, auxiliary system, technological pipelines and thermal isolation system and has completed 5.02% of workload so far. It is expected that PVC-MS will accomplished the erection and hand over to the general contractor PVC in September 2016.
