On 4th July, in PVC-MS Oil & Gas Fabrication Yard (Vungtau), PVC-MS in the role of a constructor and Hoang Long JOC as an investor have held “Opening ceremony for Te Giac Trang Wellhead Platform Topside H4”.

              PVC-MS has been awarded the project with the EPCI contract (Design, Procure, Manufacture and Install) valued up to 44 million US dollars in last month. The epCI contract signing ceremony for H4 WHP of Te Giac Trang field (Design, Procure, Manufacture and Install) just held on 29 June 2011. Since HL selected PVC as the contractor for this work, both the sides urgently had been preparing for construction the work as schedule.

               Te Giac Trang field is about 100 km Southeast of Vietnam from Vungtau city. This is a field belongs to the Petroleum Contract of Block 16-1,  operated by Hoang Long JOC on behalf of the Petroleum contractors in the joint venture.

H4 topside is a component of the H4 WHP to assure the oil and gas output production increase from TGT field for PVN, for Vietnam and other partners of HLJOC.

After the completion of the H4 topside and related works, it is scheduled to receive the first gas from H4 WHP in August 2012, earlier one year than schedule. 

At the ceremony, representing the investor, Mr. Ngo Huu Hai, General Director of Hoang Long Joint Operating Companies committed to comply with all terms of the contract  epCI Te Giac Trang Wellhead Platforms Topside H4, and will work closely with the constructor timely remove arising difficulties for the project to meets the requirements was set.

On behalf of the contractor - Mr. Nguyen Dinh The, Director of the PVC-MS has confirmed: “This is the work with technology has strict requirements, execution time is very short, PVC-MS has been adequate prepared in all aspects. With very deep concern of leaders of Petro Vietnam and PVC, PVC-MS determines the project will be done with high quality, safe and on schedule in order to complete the onshore fabrication, fasten load out and continue to install offshore at the end of May 2012, and make sure that exploitation platform H4 will receive the fist oil flow in August 2012.”

          After witnessing the ritual of first cut - beginning construction of the project Topside H4, the delegates visited PVC-MS Oil & Gas Fabrication Yard 23ha was started construction in May 2010. As planned, at the end of November 2011, PVC-MS will complete construction of Phase I.
