Manufacturing Daihung 2 is a big challenge for PVC-MS. It is a deep-water oil rig, more than 120 m in height, weighing a total of about 7,000 tons, the jacket for it bigger 3 times a common jacket was built and installed in Vietnam.

            During 16 months from started work, PVC - MS always arranged the work force with more than 500 staffs and skill workers for this project, overcomes several difficulties to ensure the rate of progress, qualify, and safety. The building is high assessed by investor and main constructor.

          With experiences from manufacturing progress of Jacket Daihung 2, PVC-MS has been manufacturing the jacket and topside of Moctinh oil rig since June 2010, which is invested by Bien Dong POC, Vietsovpetro is the main contractor. The jacket approximates 13,000 tons.

          Moctinh is a deep-water oil rig with height of about 130 m. To construct this project, PVC-MS will have to mobilize more than 700 skilled workers, construction work will be preceded within 14 months, expected to be completed in August 2011.

With the construction of topside and jacket for Moctinh and jacket Daihung 2 oil rig, PVC-MS confirm itself this is one of the leading in Vietnam in general and in the oil & gas industry in particular, with sufficient capacity and experiences in the construction the biggest oil rig in the continental shelf of Vietnam.
