In early 9 months 2011, the Group achieved a turnover of VND 493 trillion, completed 98% of revenue plan 2011 (entire year planned to reach 500 trillion). PetroVietnam has increased reserves to reach 35 million tons of oil and gas exploration. In exploration, three new fields of oil and gas were discovered. The Group has also signed five contracts / new oil and gas agreement, in which there is an agreement with foreign countries. The Group has achieved 17.45 million tons of oil, of which gas was 6.5 billion m3. Oil sales reached 9.3 billion USD. To provide the national grid 10.23 billion kWh of electricity and 3.43 million tons of petroleum. The Group also repairs, periodic maintenance works as a gas pipeline Nam Con Son, Phu My Fertilizer Plant, Dung Quat oil refinery and came back successful operation.
Gross revenue is now equivalent to 98 per cent of PetroVietnam’s yearly target and will likely reach its goal later this month.
So far this year, the group’s contribution to the State budget totaled VND16 trillion, a surge of 14 per cent over its target for the whole year.
The group has disbursed nearly VND60 trillion and postponed and rescheduled 56 projects worth VND7.25 trillion.
PetroVietnam’s general director, Do Van Hau, said to help ensure national energy and food security, the group will maintain safe operation of the oil and gas pipeline system, the Dung Quat oil refinery, Ca Mau 1,2 and Nhon Trach 1 power plants and the Phu My fertiliser plant.
He also said the group has cooperated with foreign partners to explore and exploit oil and gas overseas, with projects deployed in 13 countries, including
