As of 22-Nov-2022, Petroleum Equipment Assembly and Metal Structure Joint Stock Company (PVC-MS) has achieved the milestone of 11,687,400 safe working hours, with no incidents affecting the lives or health of the workers.
Overview of the project construction site
In the Southern Petrochemical Complex Project, PVC-MS is the only Vietnamese contractor holding the role of an EPC contractor. This is truly a pride for PVC-MS when surpassing all stringent requirements of the project and other bidding units to qualify as the EPC contractor (Consortium of PVC-MS and POSCO E&C) for Package A2 - a large-scale construction package spanning the entire site of Long Son Petrochemical Complex.
Regular safety training at the construction site
Recognizing the importance of the project, from the beginning, PVC-MS has implemented a comprehensive range of solutions and programs aimed at safety control. These include issuing regulations on occupational safety, procedures for different construction environments (confined workspaces, lack of oxygen, construction at sea, work at heights, etc.), fire prevention, environmental protection, and organizing safety training for staff, workers, and personnel of participating contractors. In addition to daily monitoring, the unit has also established weekly and monthly inspection teams to ensure safety, health, environment, and to encourage workers on the construction site, with the participation of management at all levels, from department heads to company leaders. The involvement of management at all levels in site inspections demonstrates the commitment and highest priority of PVC-MS in ensuring that the project is executed on schedule, safely, and with quality.
