Bien Dong 1 Project includes jacket of Hai Thach platform, Moctinh’s jacket and topside.This is a national key project, not only contributes to petroleum reserves, but also has a special meaning for national defense, security of borders and islands of Vietnam.
Since the project started of construction in 06/2010, PVC-MS with six other contractors have been meeting the quality and the rate of progress. Especially, the contractors has used various measures to manage, inspect, monitor and successfully implemented 3 million safe man-hours.
Moc Tinh platform is the biggest platform that constructed in Vietnam so far. It also is the biggest platform that manufactured by PVC-MS. Therefore, PVC-MS’s workers must work on nearly 50 meters high place. Determining this is a high risk factor, so PVC-MS has a very serious investment for the safety.
The procedures and regulations on labor safety are strict implemented and monitored. Thus, despite working in very difficult conditions, but the PVC-MS keeps absolute safety. PVC-MS contributed 2 / 3rd of Bien Dong 1’s safe man-hours.
At the ceremony, Mr. Tran Hong Nam, Deputy Director of Bien Dong POC has high appreciated the efforts of the contractors. He emphasized, in the future, the investor will require faster rate of progress. Therefore, the contractor should concentrate to meet safety, schedule and quality.
Noting these results, Bien Dong POC has been awarded certification 3 million safe man-hours for seven contractors.
On this occasion, to encourage constructors’ labors, Bien Dong POC has hosted lucky draw with 7 phones Nokia phones and a Samsung 32 inch flat-screen TV.
