The project of GPP2 (name of the project), its plant and its pipelines are the important items of the Nam Con Son pipeline number 2 project. The GPP2 plant is constructed onshore, near Dinh Co GPP project in An Ngai commune, Long Dien district, Baria Vungtau province.
With the designed capacity of 20 million cubic meter per day (the first phase of 10mil m3/day), the plant will receive gas sources from Hai Thach-Moc tinh, Thien Ung-Mang Cau belonging to Nam Con Son basin, through the offshore pipelines, stablizing the condensate, transported via the pipeline, seperate and gather LPG and Ethane.
After that the dry natural gas will be transferred onshore of 39 km (including 9km from Long Hai to GPP Dinh Co existing plant), from GPP2 to Phu My Central Distribution Station (GDC), connecting to Phu My - Ho Chi Minh pipeline to provide gas to Phu My area, Nhon Trach area and Hiep Phuoc area.
Together with GPP2 plant project, the joint venture will construct the pipelines to take gas products to Long Dien district, Baria town and Tan Thanh district (Phu My, Cai Mep) of Baria Vungtau; at the same time the joint venture constructs the pipeline for LPG and the condensate pipeline to Thi Vai gas terminal (in Cai Mep industrial park) and the pipeline for transferring Ethan gas to Long Son Chemical Complex.
The existing natural gas reserves of Hai Thach-Moc Tinh and Thien Ung-Mang Cau belong to lots 05-2, 05-3, 04-3 of Nam Con Son basin at the dept of 120-135m are being exploited. It is expected that when completing, the gas exploitation output will be 1.5 billion m3 for 2013 and increased to 2.8billion m3 in 2014; stable at 3.09bil m3 per year from 2017 to 2024.
Nam Con Son basin is appraised for its very potential gas reserve of 590 m3 of oil, when exchanged to oil.
This is the second IPC contract, which PXS participate in construction, after H4 Topside for investor Hoan Long Hoan Vu JOC has been started in early July 2011.
