On the afternoon of 20-Oct-2023, in Vung Tau City, Petroleum Equipment Assembly & Metal Structure Joint Stock Company (PVC-MS) solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the company (20-Oct-1983 – 20-Oct-2023) and the 93rd anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Women's Union (20-Oct-1930 – 20-Oct-2023).
Overview of the ceremony
Guests attending the ceremony were representatives of the parent company - PetroVietnam Construction Joint Stock Corporation (PetroCons); former leaders of the company in different periods; representatives of the leadership of member units within the corporation; representatives of loyal customers and partners; along with the presence of comrades in the Executive Committee of Party Committee, Board of Management, Board of Director, and leaders of organizations, departments, and units under the company, as well as outstanding employees of the company.

Having an opening speech at the ceremony, Mr. Dinh Van Hung - Secretary of Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of the company, on behalf of PVC-MS staff and employees, expressed his deepest gratitude to the leadership of the Party Committee, the State, Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, PetroVietnam Construction Joint Stock Corporation, as well as business partners, shareholders, local authorities, and people in the areas where the company operated for their wholehearted support and assistance to PVC-MS, and above all, the dedication of the workers throughout the process of building and developing the company.

Also at the ceremony, Mr. Phan Khac Man - Director of the company expressed that throughout the journey, PVC-MS had always tried to find a common voice with customers and partners with all their sincerity and goodwill. This contributed to affirming the name and brand of PVC-MS as it is today.

Mr. Nghiem Quang Huy - Secretary of Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of the Corporation, delivered a speech
In his speech at the ceremony, Mr. Nghiem Quang Huy - Secretary of Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of the Corporation (PetroCons), reviewed the memorable milestones of PVC-MS during the past 40 years, which had accompanied the overall development journey of the Corporation. It had been a glorious and dedicated journey to the oil and gas industry. In particular, PVC-MS had made its mark across the country with hundreds of major projects, most of which were national key projects. PVC-MS had participated in the construction of over 60% of offshore drilling platforms, gas pipeline projects, oil storage tanks, power plants, thermal power plants, oil refineries, and had contributed to the timely construction of over 90% of DK platforms, ensuring national security and defense, and making important contributions to protecting Vietnam's sovereignty in the sea, as well as scientific research on Vietnam's marine areas.
Mr. Nghiem Quang Huy also believed that with the tradition of unity and the spirit of hard work, continuous innovation in management and business, the leadership and employees of PVC-MS would overcome all challenges, move forward steadily, and achieve even more success, excellently fulfilling all assigned tasks.

The development journey of PVC-MS is marked with the contributions and dedication of the predecessors who have built and closely followed the unit since its early days. The anniversary ceremony was honored to welcome Mr. Bui Quang Hung - Former Party Secretary, Director of Equipment Assembly and Metal Structure Enterprise, Former Chairman of the Board of Petroleum Construction Joint Stock Company, who represented the former leaders of the unit in different periods to attend and congratulate the growth and development of PVC-MS over the years. Mr. Bui Quang Hung hoped that the PVC-MS team today would always have faith in the leadership of superiors and unite to build a more mature and successful PVC-MS in the future and achieve recognized achievements.

Within the framework of the 40th-anniversary celebration program, Mrs. Luong Thi Nga - Head of the Women’s Affairs Committee of the company also reviewed the 93-year tradition of building and developing the Vietnam Women's Union. Upholding the proud tradition of Vietnamese women, the female workforce of PVC-MS has made efforts to overcome difficulties and successfully fulfill assigned tasks, organizing their work and family life in a scientific and harmonious manner, deserving the title of "Good at national affairs – Duteous at housework". During the meeting, the company's leadership sent fresh flowers and congratulations to all female employees on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Women's Union.

The anniversary ceremony brought an opportunity for employees to review the company’s development journey over the past 40 years.
