HO CHI MINH CITY (November 28, 2025) – At the PVC-MS Fabrication Yard, Petroleum Equipment Assembly & Metal Structure Joint Stock Company (PVC-MS) coordinated with the Main Contractor, Russia-Vietnam Joint Venture - Vietsovpetro, to successfully organize the First Cut Ceremony for the Topside of the Dai Hung Nam Wellhead Platform (WHP-DHN). This component is a critical part of the Dai Hung Nam Field Development Project, Block 05-1(a).

The ceremony was attended by distinguished representatives from the Project Owner, PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation Limited (PVEP), and the Domestic Petroleum Operating Branch - PVEP (PVEP-POC). Representing the Main Contractor were the leadership of Vietsovpetro Joint Venture and the leadership of Offshore Construction Division - Vietsovpetro. The event also welcomed numerous officials and employees from the Project Management Boards of both the Client and the Main Contractor. Representing PVC-MS, the ceremony saw the presence of the Board of Directors, the Board of Management, heads of departments, and the dedicated team of officers, engineers, and workers directly involved in the project.
Building on Successful Strategic Cooperation
Dai Hung Nam Project, Dai Hung Field Development, Block 05.1(A) is a key infrastructure initiative with an estimated total EPCI investment of approximately USD 160 million, playing a vital role in increasing production output and ensuring national energy security. Within the project's framework, PVC-MS has been entrusted by the General Contractor Vietsovpetro with the critical responsibility of fabricating the Topside of the WHP-DHN platform, with an estimated total weight of nearly 2,688 metric tons.
This milestone marks a significant continuation of the strategic cooperative relationship between the three entities—PVEP, Vietsovpetro, and PVC-MS—following the success of the Dai Hung Phase 3 project.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phan Khac Man, Director of PVC-MS, extended his gratitude to the Project Owner PVEP/PVEP-POC and the General Contractor Vietsovpetro for entrusting PVC-MS with this critical package. Mr. Man emphasized that the trust placed in PVC-MS is built upon a long history of effective cooperation, specifically the proven capability demonstrated through the excellent completion of the wellhead platform fabrication for the previous Dai Hung Phase 3 project. Being selected for the Dai Hung Nam project serves as objective recognition of PVC-MS’s technical competence and reputation in the oil and gas mechanical engineering sector.

Commitment to Safety, Schedule, and Quality
The Dai Hung Nam project entails high technical requirements and strict scheduling milestones to achieve the "First Oil" target by early 2027. The project is expected to contribute an additional production output of approximately 10,000 barrels of oil per day.
On behalf of the leadership and the entire workforce, Mr. Phan Khac Man pledged that PVC-MS would mobilize maximum resources and coordinate closely with the General Contractor and relevant stakeholders to implement the project. He affirmed that the company's top priorities are ensuring absolute safety during construction, strictly adhering to the established schedule, and guaranteeing economic-technical efficiency for the entire project, thereby meeting the high expectations of all partners.
At the event, representatives of the Client - PVEP and Main Contractor - Vietsovpetro highly appreciated PVC-MS's preparation. Leaders from all parties expressed confidence in the contractor's experience and capacity, while urging the PVC-MS collective to continue upholding their sense of responsibility and strictly following quality management procedures to bring the project to completion on time.

Resources Ready for Construction
To serve this project, PVC-MS has prepared the infrastructure at its port fabrication yard. With an area of 23 hectares and a specialized wharf system capable of handling heavy loads, along with specialized machineries and equipments and a high-quality workforce of experienced and skilled personnel, PVC-MS ensures full capability to perform fabrication, assembly, and load-out operations for super-heavy structures in accordance with international standards.
The First Cut ritual was conducted solemnly, officially marking the commencement of the onshore fabrication phase. This event holds significance not only for PVC-MS's production and business activities in the 2025–2027 period but also affirms the capacity of domestic enterprises to master the technology of fabricating deep-water platform topsides, contributing to the general development of Vietnam's Oil and Gas industry.
