On March 30, 2015, at the PVC-MS Port, Petroleum Mechanical & Structural Joint Stock Company (PVC-MS, stock code PXS) successfully launched the Thái Bình platform topsides.
This structure is part of the Thái Bình field development project in Block 102, located about 20 km southeast of Tiền Hải – Thái Bình. The project is invested by Petronas Carigali Overseas Sdn Bhd (PCOSB). PVC-MS is the main contractor responsible for the design, procurement, fabrication, and commissioning of the jacket and topsides of the Thái Bình platform.
The Thái Bình platform has a total structural weight of approximately 2,000 tons. The project commenced in May 2014. On March 22, 2015, PVC-MS handed over the Thái Bình jacket to the investor for offshore transportation and installation.
The Thái Bình platform topsides have been successfully launched. PVC-MS is currently securing the structure, and it will be transported for installation on April 2, 2015.
Accordingly, in mid-April 2015, PVC-MS workers will travel to the Thái Bình field to perform hook-up and commissioning work before handing over the project to the investor PCOSB.
Thanks to the close coordination of the investor PCOSB and the enthusiasm, creativity, and more than 30 years of experience in fabricating oil and gas structures, PVC-MS has made the highest effort to execute the project with high quality, ensuring a total of 900,000 safe working hours.
