On the two days of March 29 and April 1, 2023, PVC-MS successfully launched the JA and KA jackets of the JA&KA Jacket Project under the Gallaf-3 Project. The careful and professional launch work by PVC-MS was appreciated and highly evaluated by the Investor NOC and the Main Contractor PTSC M&C.

The JA and KA jackets are part of the Gallaf-3 Project, Package 05, at the Al-Shaheen field, located offshore Qatar. This is the largest offshore oil field in Qatar and one of the largest offshore oil fields in the world, with a total weight of 4,350 tons—JA weighing 2,200 tons and KA weighing 2,150 tons. The JA&KA Gallaf-3 Jacket Project began in May 2022 and is the first international offshore project in which PVC-MS has cooperated with a leading foreign enterprise in the Middle Eastern oil and gas sector.

With strong expertise in fabrication and construction of jackets and rigs, along with high determination, PVC-MS met the strict requirements of the Investor—North Oil Company (NOC), a joint venture between Qatar Petroleum (Qatar’s national oil and gas corporation) and Total (France). With close support from the Main Contractor PTSC M&C, all components of the two jackets were fabricated and assembled on schedule, ensuring safety and quality, and were handed over and launched according to plan.
On April 10, 2023, the jackets departed from the PVC-MS port for Qatar and were successfully installed on May 4, 2023, at the Al-Shaheen field.

In recent years, PVC-MS has continuously expanded its scale and fields of operation—not only within domestic oil and gas technical services but also through collaboration with foreign partners. This has helped PVC-MS gain more experience, enhance its capabilities and competitiveness, and open up many new development opportunities.
