On May 13th 2014, at VSP Port, PVC- MS (PXS – Hose) as a fabrication contractor BK Thien Ung platform’s jacket has officially started construction the project.

BK Thien Ung platform’s jacket belongs to Thien Ung Platform Project in Thien Ung field, invested by Petro Vietnam and OAO Zarubezhneft Corporation. VSP is the operator and the general contractor. Offshore Construction Division - an affiliate of VSP is the main contractor.

Thien Ung is a platform, that exploits gas and condensate, installed in Block 04-3 with 120m water depth.  The jacket and topside weigh 15 tons. The project is expected completion at the end June 2015.

BK Thien Ung platform’s jacket weighs 5,500 tons, including jacket, pier, dewatering tubes. PVC - MS will complete fabrication the jacket and hand over to the investor on March 25th 2015.

At the kick off ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hung Dung, Deputy General Director of PVN, said Thien Ung Platform will contribute to increase production for PVN, OAO Corporation Zarubezhneft and VSP. Thien Ung Project belongs to the expansion strategy of exploiting in the deep waters of PVN. Therefore, PVC-MS and the project's contractors must make great efforts to implement the project with highest quality, absolute safety and meet investor's schedule.
